SHINGZA PANDITA RINPOCHE AND
HIS MONKS ON TOUR

A Brief introduction of A Buddhist high lama

Jetsun Tenzin Choekyi Gyaltsen is the holder of the incarnate lineage of Airtini Maha Pandita Shingza Hotuktuke, the reincarnation of the mother of Jamgon Lama Tsongkapa, Shingza Achoe. He is known as Shingza Rinpoche. For the benefit of beings, Rinpoche took rebirth in Amdo, the north- eastern part of Tibet. He fled Tibet into exile to India in 1997 to be able to study, practice and propagate the Dharma.

Shingza Rinpoche is currently studying on the profound Buddhist texts at Sera Je Monastic University in the south of India. Rinpoche and his monks live in their own branch at Sera called Serjhe Shatal Khangtsen.

The purpose of our group of Rinpoche#58808; monks travelling to your country is to share the Dharma and provide the opportunity for you to practice generosity in offering funds for the Lamas and monks to continue study, teach and practice Buddhism while in exile in India. Many monks from different Monasteries in Tibet followed Shingza Rinpoche to India to be part of Shingza Rinpoche's Labtang.

In the year 2000, devotees in Tibet collected a sum of Yuan 320,000. It was sent to Shingza Rinpoche for the expenses of the celebration of his entering for monastic studies in 1997 and for the celebration for Achi, his completion of Parshin (the Perfection of Wisdom studies) in 2001. But this sum was taken away by force by the Chinese police on its way to Rinpoche in Nagchuie. As a result, Rinpoche and his monks at his Lobtang are facing great financial problems.

Many people, both lay and monastic, in Tibet and in exile have been appealing to the related bodies of our government in exile.

Under the guidance of the government-in-exile this group of monks is now making a tour to Taiwan, a few other countries and to offer the following services: I hope you visit to this Website:
